Scottish 8 day bell striking, weight driven and pendulum regulated longcase clock by John Hood of Cupar Fife, circa 1830. Substantial mahogany veneered casework with break-arch top, plain turned pillars and brass ball and eagle finial with flame mahogany access door and lower pediment. Signed painted dial with Scottish pastoral scene and warrior images, Roman hours and ornate gilt hands with seconds and date display subsidiary dials.

Dimensions - Height 83", Width 17", Depth 8".
