American wood veneer cased 8 day striking wall clock by Seth Thomas of Connecticut circa 1880. Impressive architectural styled veneered case with half turned columns and two opening decorated glass doors to access the winding squares in the dial and the lower pendulum and printed going instructions. Signed white dial with black Roman hours and black steel hands and the two winding squares with a partially visible mechanism. American 8 day weight driven, pendulum regulated movement with count-wheel strike mechanism striking on a coiled gong.
