English 18ct gold cased key wound fusee pocket watch with Chester hallmark for circa 1894. Gold Coloured engine turned and floral engraved dial with black Roman hours and blued steel hands. Decoratively engraved case with makers mark of FT for Fred Thomas Clerkenwell back plate numbered #18940.
Case Diameter - 38mm, Depth - 13mm.
Watchcase maker, Frederick Thoms established his business in 1881 or 1883. He was known as London's finest watchcase maker. He died in 1930, after which hisbusiness was incorporated into Joseph Walton & Co.
