English 8 day bell striking, weight driven and pendulum regulated longcase clock by Charles Penny of Bristol circa 1790. Substantial flame mahogany veneered casework with swan neck pediment with gilt disc and finial decoration and fluted pillars with lower weight and pendulum access door. Signed silvered ornately inscribed dial plate with floral decoration and black Roman hours with black steel hands and subsidiary seconds dial with lower date display aperture.
