French 8 day white marble cased mantel clock with applied gilt decoration and side columns. Round clock case with gilt bezel and chamfered glass over white enamel chapter ring with matt gilt centre, black gothic hours and ornate blued steel hands. Visible Brocot escapement and slow / fast adjuster at 12 o'clock. Good quality circular brass spring driven movement, maker unknown, numbered #1339, with count wheel strike on a bell and a mercury pendulum.
