Swiss J.W.Benson manual wind wrist watch in a stainless steel case on a black leather strap with silvered buckle. Signed silvered dial with numeric hours and gilt hands with subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o/c. Denisteel case back numbered 12327 and 7758 over a Swiss made J.W.Benson signed FHF26 jewelled lever movement.
Case diameter - 30mm, strap fitting - 16mm.
J.W.Benson was founded in 1847 in London by brothers James William and Samuel Suckley Benson, this partnership was dissolved in 1855. The factory was bombed in WWII and they ceased manufacturing. Mappin and Webb bought them out in 1980.
