French Ornate Gilt Metal striking Mantel Clock.
Brass ormolu case with silvered dial Roman numerals on enamel. Frosted glass back door.
8 day movement strikes the hour and half on a gong.

Inscription on the front reads ' Mr J Winderbottom, from the officers of the English Fleet at Portsmouth. A souvenir of the 30th August 1889.'

34cm high 17cm deep 21cm wide.
