American Elgin National Watch Co., pocket watch with top wind and time change in a gold plated case c1920. Signed white enamelled dial with black hours and blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds dial at 6o/c. Elgin National Watch Company signed and engine turning decorated grade 315 15 jewel jewelled lever movement with split bi-metallic balance and overcoil hairspring incorporation a micro-regulator and numbered 22061711 with case back inscribed 'CASE B&B ROYAL 20 YEARS' and indistinctly numbered.

Case diameter - 43mm.

The Elgin Watch company was a major U.S watchmaker from 1864 to 1968 in Elgin Illinois by Philo Carpenter, Howard Z Culver, Benjamin Raymond, George Wheeler, Thomas Dickerson and W Robbins. The factory delivered its first movement in 1867.
