Swiss silver cased pocket watch with London import hallmark for 1919 retailed by John Russell, London. Top wind and rocking bar time change with white enamel dial and black Roman hours with gilt hands and blued sweep seconds hand. Unsigned 3/4 plate jewelled lever movement with chronograph style stop button at 2 o/c, case numbered #59833.

Case Diameter - 52mm, Depth - 17mm.

John Russell was the inventor of a barometer known as ''The Royal Barometer''. He claimed that by the rise and fall of the mercury could be ascertained to the ''thousandth part of an inch''.
