Swiss 9ct Gold Cased Doctor's Style Pocket Watch

Description

Swiss 9ct gold cased doctor's style pocket watch bearing a London import hallmark for c1914. Top wind and pin set rocking bar time change with a 'stop seconds' slide control and white enamel 1/5 of a second recording dial with black Roman hours gilt hands and blued sweep seconds hand. Swiss 3/4 plate jewelled lever movement unsigned but with case back by 'GS' and numbered 63106.

Case diameter - 48mm.

The casemaker 'GS' was George Stockwell who was the nephew of Henry Stockwell. He had over 12 years experience when he succeeded Henry Stockwell to the management of the company.
