Swiss J.W.Benson pocket watch in a silver case with a London import hallmark for 1919. Top wind and time change with white enamel J.W.Benson, London signed dial with black Roman hours and gilt hands with subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o/c. Swiss 15 jewel jewelled lever escapement with bi-metallic balance in a .925 silver case numbered 1880.

Case diameter - 50mm.

J.W.Benson was founded in 1847 in London by brothers James William and Samuel Suckley Benson, this partnership was dissolved in 1855. The factory was bombed in WWII and they ceased manufacturing. Mappin and Webb bought them out in 1980.
