J.W.Benson silver cased chronograph pocket with Longines movement and a London import hallmark for 1910 and numbered 2224673. Top wind and rocking bar time change with a single push chronograph activation button. White enamel dial and black Roman hours with blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o/c. Thirty minute chronograph recording via the centre seconds hand and the minute's dial at 12 o/c. Swiss Longines calibre 19.73 jewelled lever movement with overcoil hairspring and split bi-metallic balance. Pillar wheel control system for the chronograph function with an instantaneous minute recorder.

Case Diameter - 52mm.

– J.W.Benson was founded in 1847 in London by brothers James William and Samuel Suckley Benson, this partnership was dissolved in 1855. The factory was bombed in WWII and they ceased manufacturing. Mappin and Webb bought them out in 1980.
